Import sensitive material
Drop in PDFs, Word files, Excel files (XLSX, XLS, XLSM), CSV files, screenshots, scans or pasted text without sending the originals to a web service.
Local offline redaction software
Prepare sensitive documents before AI analysis, external sharing and review.
Redact and anonymize PDFs, Word files, Excel files (XLSX, XLS, XLSM), CSV files, images, scans and text on your computer. Keep useful context with aliases, review every hit, then export a clean copy.

AI needs context, not raw identifiers
Drop in PDFs, Word files, Excel files (XLSX, XLS, XLSM), CSV files, screenshots, scans or pasted text without sending the originals to a web service.
Inspect names, organizations, business identifiers, accounts, addresses, postal codes and visual targets before exporting a redacted copy.
Use stable aliases such as Person A and Company A so AI can reason without seeing direct identifiers.
Redaction modes
LocalMask can keep context with aliases, obscure only part of a value, hide it completely, or leave a blank placeholder for a cleaner document. Redaction-area colors can also be customized.
Replace repeated sensitive entities with stable labels while keeping relationships readable.
Keep a small amount of context at the edges while masking the middle of IDs, accounts or phone numbers.
Mask the full detected value when exported material should not expose readable source text.
Replace the detected content with blank space when the output should look closer to manual removal.
Custom transformations
Move detected dates by a consistent number of days, months or years while preserving sequence.
Apply add, subtract, multiply or divide rules so amounts remain useful without exposing exact values.
Why not just use a PDF editor or PII framework?
LocalMask is designed for people who need a usable redaction workspace: import, detect, review, alias, export and restore AI output from the local mapping.
Common workflows
Prepare contracts, letters, case files, evidence packages and client documents before outside sharing or review.
Handle bank statements, accounts, card numbers, transaction records, credit material, audit workpapers and financial reports before export or AI analysis.
Redact HR records, payroll files, invoices, reimbursement material, procurement files, screenshots and internal reports in one desktop workflow.

Yes. You can redact or replace direct identifiers locally before sending content to AI tools, cloud services, web forms or external collaborators. Stable aliases keep enough context for analysis without exposing raw identifiers.
